I have been working with some esteemed and award-winning colleagues on a cinematic book trailer since the start of 2026. Why? Because they have the potential to bring something new, and yet familiar, to prospective readers using a format that combines literature with cinema and ultra-realistic gameplay.

It celebrates the art of transforming literature into visual storytelling, bringing together filmmakers, readers, authors, publishers and creatives. It’s been an amazing journey, and working with this specific cast of collaborators has been both daunting and humbling.  

• Director, Producer and animation / artist Martyn Pick (credits include: Animation Director on acclaimed feature Coup 53 – 2020, co-Director of Netflix Kitti Katz – 2023, concept artist on Rise of the Witches (2022), Director on Ultramarines: A Warhammer 40,000 Movie – 2010)

• Actor and narrator Martin Carroll (credits include film, TV, theatre & video games: House of Guinness – 2025, The Great Gatsby at Windsor Theatre Royal – 2024, Hot To Survive The End  Of The World – 2021, The Alienist: The Angel of Darkness – 2020, The Little Stranger – 2018, Soul Keeper – 2020, Assassins Creed ‘Syndicate’ – 2015, World War Z – 2013, Richard III in the West End – 2013/14, Silent Witness – 2009)
